Greek Yogurt Covered Strawberries

Greek yogurt covered strawberries are a perfect healthy treat to share with your honey this Valentines day without any extra guilt!

Valentines Day is on a Tuesday this year, pretty lame if you ask me. I like to give myself a little break from my diet on the weekends...so by Tuesday I'm right back on my game and on track. If you are the same way and won't be splurging too much extra on Valentines Day this year, this is the perfect sweet dessert to make that still tastes yummy but is so much more healthy than the traditional chocolate coated strawberries that are always available for Valentines day!

This will be the first Valentines day I'm celebrating with my new boo :) We have a lot of fun weekend plans in February so I think on Valentines night we are just going to stay in. I'll offer to cook something healthy but tasty for dinner, make these yummy strawberries again for dessert, and as long as I get some pretty flowers I'll be a happy girl. Heh ;)

I enjoyed eating this batch of strawberries on a Sunday night while watching the movie Pretty Woman for my first time. Yes, yes I know, I am 26 years old and just saw it for my first time, shame on me.  In my defense though it came out in 1990 which is the same year I was born (hah) so it took me awhile but I finally added this classic to my watched list and loved every minute of it.  The scene where Julia Roberts goes to dinner with Richard Gere for the first time and tries to eat her escargot and it flies across the restaurant only to be caught by a waiter? Had me literally in tears from laughing so hard.

It was a fun night of snacking and laughing and this dessert even packs some protein from the greek yogurt so I was able to "indulge" and stick to my macros since I always need to fit in protein! I also think I need to make sure I catch up on any other classics with Julia Roberts that I missed seeing too!
