Add Lace Quick & Easy to Sleeves

I have a super quick and easy tutorial to share today!

I prettied up a plain white shirt real real quick with a little bit of lace. I feel that adding lace makes any shirt INSTANTLY more feminine and cute!! Best part about this project? It's no sew!

I got this plain white shirt from Target real cheap. I has seams that run down each sleeve that I thought would be a good guide for adding my lace too.

This pretty white lace is from my sponsor Whole Port.

Now, I have to admit. My first plan WAS to sew this lace on. But then I looked at the sleeves....and at a sewing machine...and tried to figure out HOW I could get only one layer of the sleeve through the machine and not the other since they are pretty skinny sleeves and then my brain got realllly confused. So, i figured I needed an easier option: liquid stitch!

I lined the lace up with the seams on the sleeve and applied a healthy amount of liquid stitch along the seam and laid on the lace. I stuck a piece of cardboard inside the sleeve so it would only stick to one layer.

I let it dry over night, and voila! My pretty new top.

I like that this shirt is casual enough to just wear around the house and out running errands on the weekend but still has the little lace element to make it cute! Too often I just throw on an old sweatshirt when laying around the house, it will be nice to have another casual & comfy option so my husband doesn't get tired of seeing me in too many sweatshirts :)
