Tissue Paper Chain Decor

My tutorial for this week is super easy and super cheap:

I made this cute chain out of tissue paper to spruce up the window in my dorm. Here's how to make it!

Supplies:

-Thread
-Scissors
-Tacky Glue
-Paper Punch
-Tissue Paper

I got my tissue paper at walmart for $1 a pack, but you really only need one sheet of each color, so you people who don't live out of a dorm room and actually have stuff like tissue paper laying around may not even have to buy anything for this project!!

Steps:

Step One: Punch out a bunch of shapes using your paper punch. I folded the tissue paper a couple times so it went faster.

I used three different colors for mine:

Step Two: Dab a little tacky glue on one cutout, and place it on a piece of thread with another cutout on top.

That's really all there is to it! I alternated back and forth with my three different colors, and then cut the string into different lengths and hung them up above my window.

Hard to get a nice picture with the sun, but it adds a nice pop of color to the room!

I'm linking this project up to all the parties in my header!

PS: Don't forget I'm starting my very own link party this Wednesday! Grab my button awhile :)

  4. I love this, cause most of the garland I've seen requires sewing and I don't sew. So kuddos to you.
