Ramen Noodles

I don't like fights.
Especially ones like tonight.
The kind that go on and on and you cry and cry and say mean things and nothing gets better.

Growing up is difficult.
For me it means more college, marriage, job searching, house hunting, and mortgage payments.
Payments that would be too big to survive on any other kind of lifestyle but a ramen-noodles-for-dinner-every-night-speal.
It means meshing two lives together that love each other, but are still very different.

I don't like fights.

I do like that we can always make up though.
I like hugs.
I like going for rides in your jeep on a summer night with no top or doors on.
I like the breezy, warm air and the full moon and back country roads.
I like Jon Foreman and Owl City on the radio.
I like an unexpected show of fireworks in the sky ahead.
I like summer. I like being young. I like being in love.

Because no matter how much ramen we have to eat, or what kind of place we will be living in, 225 days from now we will still be together, married, and still in love.

I love you dear. I cannot wait to be your wife.

And I really can't wait how to learn how cook ramen noodles in as many different ways as possible :)

  1. LOL! Sounds like you two are off to a great start! One day when you have a couple of years of experience (or a couple of rug-rats running around), you'll look back and laugh at the silly stuff you fought about and all the Ramen noodles you ate! Marriage is SUCH good stuff!

  2. Fights. Arggg. Get used to them. Where there is love and passion there are fights. And you sound like you are deeply passionate about your love. That's the price. But, totally worth it. ♥

  3. Oh I hate fights too :( All I can say is we had our worst ones before our wedding! Haha...it's SO stressful trying to figure out where to live...how to live...finances...ugh! It's all new! But you're right...you WILL be married, and you WILL work it out. Our first year of marriage, we went to bed with two sweatshirts on and ski caps with every blanket we owned because our heat was SO expensive and just getting sucked through our drafty old windows. Now, 3 years later, we're in a much better place (just two sweatshirts...no hats!!) :)

  8. I'm eating ramen noodles right now! T and I are finally also engaged and I definitely know how it is. We've practically been married since we built our house two years ago and there are definitely stressful days but at the end of the day, you still are with the one you love.

  9. When I left for college my mom bought me a ramen noodles cookbook and it was awesome! I don't know where she got it, and it was 6 years ago, but maybe you can find one of those! :) Just remember everything will be okay!
