Give Thanks Thanksgiving Banner

I think this might be my first and last Thanksgiving craft for the season.

{I'm just so excited to start posting Christmas crafts!!!}

But I needed a new bunting to change out my Happy Halloween Bunting  with on my fall shelves.

Here's what I came up with:

"Give Thanks" Thanksgiving Banner

Love how it turned out! Easy materials to make it as well: you only need two different colors of felt, embroidery floss, needle, scissors, and some cardboard!

First thing to do it cut out a template for the little pennants, and cut out pennants in felt for the amount letters of whatever phrase you want to use. (10 needed for Give Thanks)

Next I freehand wrote out some big block letters on orange felt and then cut those out as well. Not too shabby for just freehand I'd say :)

Next I used thick embroidery floss to stitch all the letters to the pennants.

After all the letters were stitched on I stitched across the top of the pennants to make the banner!

All done!

My new banner looks perfect up on my faux mantel shelf. Since I decorated more for fall than Halloween, the banner was the only thing I had to switch out after Halloween! Easy peasy.

This is a good craft to do in front of the TV. Pretty easy work - just takes a little time. But I'm always looking for crafts I can do at night on the couch while spending time with hubby :)

There you have it! Thanksgiving is taken care of - lol. Now onto Christmas!!!!! :)

I'll be linking up to these parties:
