The Best Brussels Sprouts You Will Ever Eat

Since my crafting supplies are still lying in a pile in the middle of my room still unpacked from college....this week I will be sharing a recipe with you guys!

My friend Ashlea introduced me to this....the best Brussels Sprouts you will ever eat. Seriously. When she told me we were going to be having Brussels Sprouts, I was not excited. They are the vegetable that is always made fun of on cartoons and such for being icky, so I was very hesitant. But I could not get enough of these suckers!!!!! So good. Thus, I give you, roasted Brussels Sprouts with Gorgonzola Cream Sauce.

Ingredients:
-2 pounds of Brussels sprouts, washed.

 -2 tablespoons lemon juice
-half a cup of Gorgonzola cheese
-1/4 cup diced shallot
-3/4 cup chopped walnuts
-1 cup of cream
-half a stick of butter
-olive oil
-salt and pepper

Steps:
-Preheat your oven to 475 degrees.
-Prepare the Brussels Sprouts by cutting the bottom stem off, then cutting them in half down the middle

-Place all of the Brussels in a large pan (with sides) covered in tinfoil.

-Drizzle them with olive oil (make sure to coat them all so they don't burn), salt, and pepper.

-Place them in the oven for about 15 minutes, stirring them every 2 - 3 minutes. They burn easily, so you need to constantly stir them!

-Prepare the sauce by melting the butter into skillet on medium heat, and then adding in the walnuts and shallots.  Let these cook until it looks like there are brown specs in the butter. (just a few minutes)

-Add in the cream, let boil, and after it is done add in the Gorgonzola and lemon juice.

-Take the Brussels Sprouts of the oven, mix in the sauce, and enjoy!!

We ate it as a side with some chicken picatta.. YUM YUM.

I'll be sharing this recipe with all the link parties in my header!
