Prima Beads Jewelry Making Kit

I recently had the chance to try out some jewelry making supplies from Prima Beads Umm-- free beads? Can you say HEAVEN for this jewelry-making crafter?????

Here's what I was sent:

I received the Jewelry Class In A Box - Peach And Pink Pearls Kit which was a perfect fit for my girly tastes! The kit retails for $25, which I think it a good price for all the different pieces you can make from the contents.

Jewelry Class In A Box - Peach And Pink Pearls Kit - Kits

One big plus for the kit is if you've never tried jewelry making before, it's set-up well for beginners. It has everything you need in the box from your pliers, a bead mat, crimp beads, headpins, and tons more.   You don't have to go out and buy anything else to start creating.

The kit also comes with instructions for making eight different pieces of jewelry. When I first got the kit I was all like...phhhh. I'm a jewelry making pro ;) I'll just make my own stuff.  But then I looked at all the pictures and realized I really liked some of the designs they had! So I made two of their designs :)

This necklace is by far the favorite item I made! I tweaked it a little from their design - I left out the white pearls and added in more purple and did not include little bow charms meant to hang from the chain as well.

I just love how it turned out! So many times I make a piece and really love it but think "I guess I should add this to my etsy shop..." but NOT-UH for this one! This little beauty is staying in my own personal collection :)

I also whipped up two earrings real quick. These bows were meant to go on the necklace - but I think they make really cute earrings!

And these were a design from the kit.

The Prima Beads kit comes with instructions to follow so if you haven't made jewelry before you should be able to give it a go. The quality of the findings was not the best I've seen - but for this price it is fitting. Everything I've made has held up fine so far. I'd just be careful if you have super sensitive ears because the metal is just a base metal.

All in all though...I had a great time crafting with the supplies! Anyone from a beginner to more experienced crafter will be able to find something to make with the contents.

Check back tomorrow to see my own necklace design I made with some of the left over beads!

  10. I've heard about this jewelry making kit. My daughter and I wanted to buy this and decorate my crocodile skin wallet she always likes to decorate any of my things, so I always have to go with children's bracelets on his hand, but women like it)
