PEOPLE Magazine Goodness & CVS Giftcard Giveaway

I don't buy magazines very often.

I love to read regular books so often that's what I have stashed away to pass the time when I need it. 

So, when I DO buy a magazine, it's really a treat!! PEOPLE magazine is one that I buy as a treat now and then - and here's why:

Miley, what were you thinking cutting your hair!! Kristen, you were dating Robert Pattison and you CHEATED??? Taylor, I WANT your wardrobe. Ohhh Bradley Cooper you fine, fine human being.

ok ok I'm back!! Haha. I don't follow celebrity gossip daily but I do indulge every now and then. PEOPLE Magazine has all the juicy gossip I need to catch up on in the celeb world, plus tons of other fun reading material too.  It's fun to take a little time out for yourself or to take a "Mommy Break" for you moms out there to just get lost in those glossy magazine pages. I get magazines mostly for when I'm traveling as a special treat - but if your spending most of your time with your kids I don't think you need that excuse to splurge and spend some time for yourself!!

Besides all the celeb gossip I really like PEOPLE Magazine's style features. They are always enjoyable and help me keep in the loop of what's hot, and what's not. Apparently faux leather leggings are back in -  but I'm not sure if this big booty of mine is ready to be leatherfied just yet...that would take a pretty large...fake cow? Nevermind.... ;)

What I REALLY want to share is that PEOPLE Magazine's Annual Sexiest Man Alive issue is almost here!!! It hits the stands November 15th and is only out for 2 weeks!

Here's last years issue. Be still my heart - Bradley Cooper. sighhhhhh.

Here are my 7 things about myself:

1. I play the harp. I've been playing for about six years, and just bought a legit big pedal harp.  On occasion I have been know to hug and kiss this instrument. And when I say on occasion, I mean a lot. These puppies are not cheap to buy.  But, I got a good deal on mine and have a good payment plan worked out for it. I love to play :)

2. I just studied abroad last semester. I lived in Nantes, France for a little under four months, and had a BLAST being immersed in another culture. I also loved traveling while I was abroad: I went to Ireland, England, Italy, and Spain.  I will always remember this super fun experience, and really can't wait until I can go back! 

3. I'm a college gal graduating in less than a year. I have enough credits in so I'm graduating a semester early.  When people ask me why, I say to save $10,000 tuition buckaroos, but really it's so I can get MARRIED to boyfriend. :)  I've enjoyed college, but I'm ready to move on with life.

4. I can't wait to be married and have babies. Whenever I see babies I squeal. Audibly. New mothers probably get freaked out by me.  I used to want to be some high-powered career woman, but now I just want to graduate, get married, enjoy life for awhile, and then have BABIES. And maybe stay home with them. I secretly get jealous of all those bloggers who are married and in school or are cute, young, stay at home moms. Cause they're everywheeerrreee.

5. I love squirrels. Some people may see them as rodents. I see them as the most adorable-fuzzy-wuzziy-cutie-pies ever.  I really wish I could have one as a pet. 

6. I have a big butt. My roommates freshman year nicknamed me Becca Butt.  Jeans are an issue. Tights are an issue.  Cat-calls from construction workers are an issue. 

Mimicking is the best form of flattery...(yes those are pillows in my old roommates pants)

7. I'm a big girly girl. I love pink. Practically everything I own is pink.  I'm not very good at controlling my emotions and cry at practically every movie I see.  I have a shoe addiction. And a dress addiction. And a bead addiction. And now a newfound crafting supply addiction. Uh oh. 

This is my closet....after I took out all my clothes to bring to college.  I love shopping :)

Question: does this skirt hit me at the wrong spot? I'm pretty hippy (and no, not in the free love kinda way) so normally I try to accent my waist, not mid drift area where this belt hits.  Does it still look ok?

Thursday

Sweater: OLD NAVY CLEARANCE FOR 6 BUCKS WHOOO. Jeans: Delias. Cami: American Eagle. Boots: Payless. Necklace: off a shirt I got in Ireland.

Now, don't you all be jealous of my fuggs.  Even my mother has real uggs. Sigh. Whatever.

I'm feeling pretty foreign in this outfit. California (not really foreign, but far away from me!), France, and Ireland all mixed into one! I love those little rose earrings. Super cute.

Yeah...I had a hot date with the library all day writing a paper....so, I didn't get bothered to dress nice!

Not so sure about these white tights. I kinda feel like I'm a little girl again when I wear them. They actually turned brown when I slipped and fell in the snow/mud on my way to go shopping. . Doesn't change how I feel about them though.. hrumph. stupid snow.

First off. I love jeggings. They are my new favorite kind of pants. This is why:

1. They are super compfy

2. These specific jeggings were called "Rockstar Jeggings" which made me feel totally rad alllll day.  I did my eyes extra smoky to play the part.

3. They fit into boots really well.

4. They do great things for your bum.  Well, at least they did for mine.
