Awkward and Awesome Thursdays!

Awkward

-I had a dream that I birthed a sheep. Like, it came out kind of a human baby, but then it turned into a sheep. WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN.

-Going to the gym, and making a BEE LINE for the elliptical with the built in fan only to realize that the person I just cut off on my way to the machine and who chose the one next to me was an old fling from freshman year.  Sooo yeahhh. I'll just elliptical next to you awkwardly for the next 40 minutes because now I can't switch machines or you will know exactly why. Of all the people to cut off...

-Walking straight into a potted fern downtown. Like...I'm walking along...la de da da....WHAM. Potted fern all up in my face. The people standing outside a bar down the street were really amused by that one...

-Crouching down to plug in my computer charger while wearing a dress in an outlet right next to an air vent. Wowzas I am no Marilyn Monroe. 

-Saying hello to the squirrels on campus, cause I think they are so cute, and then realizing there was someone walking right behind be. I'm not crazy I promise!! I just like squirrels.

-So my school has this new panini line in the cafeteria. One day for lunch I went through the line, was handed my sandwich, and then sat down to eat it. Except, when I took a bite I knew immmmdeiatly it was not my ham-cheddar-cream cheese-onion and rather a dry and icky turkey-lettuce. So I spit it out. On my plate. And then went back to the panini line and found my sandwich. The panini-maker asked for mine back. So I gave it to her with a "ermmm I kinda took a bite already..." and then ran away before whose ever turkey-lettuce it actually was could come take a bit out of my sandwich and spit it out on my plate....

This baby was all mine.

Awesome

-I'm going home this weekend! I'll get to see my man :) Also, I'm going home for a job interview, which is extra exciting. Commence plan get-a-job-lined-up-so-we-dont-have-to-live-in-a-box-when-we-get-married pronto. 

-Receiving this compliment on a dress I wore from a very masculine man "your dress is so sparkly/creative/cool. I love it" Why thank you. I've never been told I was sparkly, creative, AND cool all at once. 

-Having friends tell me that when they type into their web browser "my" trying to get "mygcc" (our school's student website) my blog comes up instead because they read that more. Whooo loyal readers!!!

-I'm doing a GROOPDEALZ next week! Get excited. I'm going to be jewelry-making-up-a-storm around here pretty soon!

-Fiancé randomly telling me one night how pretty I will be in my wedding dress. When I asked him what made him think of that, he said I looked so pretty in all the wedding dresses I didn't pick, that he knew I would look extra gorgeous in the one I did pick. awww. now that just melts mah heart :)

Here was my birthday outfit!!

I was so proud of my fashioning skills with this outfit, because it actually is a dress. I wore a short sweater over it and belted it though and got a totally new look!

I also just hit 800 followers yesterday, so what a lovely blogging birthday present :) I would also like to thank Erin for her present of these two adorable squirrels, (I have a things for squirrels, I just think they are the cutest things) and give props to my two friends from home who sent me the SAME EXACT CARD for my birthday. They didn't even plan it or anything. I guess I just really remind them of a cute little fluffy dog with fashion glasses on haha. 

Hope you are all having good weeks! It's...kind of almost the weekend?? My fiancé is coming to visit me at school this weekend! He'll be here late tomorrow afternoon. So excited to see him!

Awkward
-When you adjust yourself on a chair or move your arm on a desk and it makes a farty noise. And if you're with people you know they say, "did you just fart" and you say "no, it was the chair, see!!" and you try to make the noise again. Of course it won't. What's even worse is when you are not with someone you know, so your chair/arm just makes a farty noise and you wonder if that other person thinks you are a icky farter.

-Slits in the back of skirts that you forget about. so they ride up some, and the skirt is still a decent length, but the slit up the back is showing half of my bum to the world.

-Speaking of skirt backs....walking around ALL DAY with dried yogurt and granola from breakfast on the back of my skirt. on my butt. all day. in two different offices at work. thank you so much, mother, for being the only one to point that little tid bit out to me.   Too bad you were 8 hours to late to save my dignity.

-Wearing panties with sequins on them. seriously, what is the point of sequin panties. They would really only ever be useful if I made a habit of dancing on tables at a bar clad only in my underwear. Then maybe the sequins would be appropriate. However, i do not make a habit of dancing on tables in my underwear, so thus these stupid itchy panties that I bought because ooooh they are sparkley and I like sparkely thingssss are very annoying and awkward to itch at all day.

-Sleeping on the side of the bed closet to the window, and waking up to a fresh breeze and sunny day right beside my face. best waking up ever.

-Going for rides late at night in fiance's jeep with the top off.

-The pretzel salad I made for a dinner with friends this week. They had never even heard of it before. Have you? Three delicious layers off buttery/sugary pretzels, cream cheese/cool whip, and jello. Hello delicious.

-I FINALLY ordered my save-the-dates. For $8.95 baby!! I'll do a post about them after I receive them.

-My new silver sandals I wore with my outfit today. I looked everywhereeeeee for silver sandals I liked, and eventually found a cheap, cute pair at payless. win. win.

-One day last week, I legitimately forgot to wear a bra. This has never happened to me. I was late leaving the house for work and just threw a dress on really quick and ran out the door. It was only as I was running out of the post office in a quick stop before work did I realize I was a little more bouncy than normal...oppsies.

-Toe cleavage in flats. Is it ok? Is it not ok? I don't know. I need Stacey and Clinton.

-Trying to find a garter belt. I wore fishnets thigh-highs for my 1920s themed murder mystery party. I ordered them off amazon, and I just got thigh highs so I wouldn't have to worry about them fitting over my hips-that-don't-lie because I was just ordering it online. Alas, thigh highs don't really stay up your legs very well. So, the day of the party I legitimately went to 6 stores trying to find a dang garter belt, because I guess that's what you use to hold thigh highs up!! I asked one lady in one store, and she looked at me like I was a sleaze ball and said "you'll have to try Fredericks or Victoria Secret for that" *judging eye ball roll* I just wanted to hold my stocking up!! I'm not an icky sleaze ok??

-Having to pull my stockings up my legs all night of aforementioned party because I never found a garter belt. There is really no discreet way to do that.

-These toilets. I know women like to go to the bathroom in pairs, but this is taking it to a whole new level. And yes, your eyes work fine. There is no stall between these babies.

-The unlimited supply of coffee I get at work. Nothing makes a receptionist more happy than bottomless coffee cups all through work :)

-Yogurt, granola, and fresh strawberries. MHH YOU ARE SO GOOD

-Deciding to take my real estate classes online this summer instead of in person. Now I get to see fiance much much more than I would have :)

-Gilmore Girls boxed DVD sets. luurrveee

-I started working on my centerpieces for the wedding already! It's very exciting. And time consuming. But I'll be sure to post when they are done :)

- Weird sunburn lines. I have a random rectangle of bright red on my left arm and side boob burns on either side of my bosom. Must learn to apply sunscreen to side boob and arm rectangle.

-The little foam padding that comes in bathing suits. It gets really lumpy and I want to take it out, but then I get nippilitis. Thus, I try to even it out but it never works and I always end up looking like I have strange lumpy boobs.

-When someone you are talking to gets nipplitis, but only on one boob. And your holding a conversation with them and you have to try really really hard to focus on their eyes and not their lopsidedness.

-The fact that at 20 years old, I still cannot hook my bra strap behind my back. I always have to do an awkward battle over my head or do the hook-in-front-slide-to-the-back dance. Am I the only one untalented like this? Is everyone else in the world super skilled at bra hooking? Did I miss that class in health class in middle school or something?

-THE FACT THAT ALL OF MY AWKWARDS ARE ABOUT BOOBS SOMEHOW. Sorry about that one....

-Ok let's switch it up a little...butts. People who get butt sweat. Have you seen them before? Chronic butt sweaters? I just feel so bad and awkward for them walking around in public with sweaty pants. Having to go through life, all alone, just them and their soaked through trousers and bum sweat. Ok, they are probably not all alone. SOMEONE must be able to look past the bum sweat secretion. Not me though, and thus I am very happy fiance has a very normal sweat excretion. Aka. Not from his bum.

-Being on vacation! Lots of bloggy time, relaxing time, and time to read!!

-The lovely sun-kissed blond color all this time on the beach is giving my hair. Ok. and a little sun-in along the way might have helped a little as well...

Awkward and Awesome Thur....idays.

Well, I was going to post this Thursday, but blogger freaked out. Thus, welcome to Awkward and Awesome Thuridays :)

Awkward

-Going to the bathroom, and NOT BEING ABLE TO TAKE MY PANTS OFF. That’s right. I could not get my pants off. I had horrible images of being stuck in my pants for the whole day, having to go to work and not pee all day long, cause my PANTS WOULD NOT COME OFF. The little clasp thingers got stuck together and wouldn’t come undone. I had to rip it off to become free!!

-Using the ketchup dispenser at school, but it didn’t have much left so I kept pumping it hoping to get something, and then it just exploded the last of it's contents on me. on me. Ketchup barf.  EVERYWHERE. Awww mannn.

-My dad has recently gotten facebook, and keeps posting things about me. He takes unflattering picture of me with his iphone  and then posts them to his page with captions. There have been like 5 in a row.

-Fiancé’s geek squad outfit.  Yeah, that’s right, I’m engaged to a geek. An official one one! Haha. He just got his uniform. Clip on tie, glasses, and everything.  I think he looks more like a grandpa than a geek though…I'm glad he doesn't need glasses in real life.

- I hit 500 followers!!! Wheee!!!!!!! So excited!!!!!!! You guys are the bestest.

-My tutorial for tomorrow. It was in a magazine. Yeah, that's right. A real life magazine!! Woot. Come back tomorrow to check it out :)

-Schoooools out for summer! Except, I’m working full time reception at a very busy real estate company and have less free time than I did during school. Hrumph. It’s ok, gotta save money for that married life stuff!

-Speaking of weddings………I have an appointment to look at wedding dresses next week!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH.

-I heard through the grape vine that my boss thinks I’m very competent. I like being competent. I liked inadvertent compliments. 

-Albert Einstein called me at work. Yup, risen from the grave and everything. Haha. Well, at least that's what caller ID said...

• On the treadmill at the gym, looking down and realizing I had a piece of paper towel stuck in my cleavage. Uh oh. How long have I been running with you in there???
• I've realized I wet my toothbrush both before and after I put toothpaste on it. What is the point of wetting it both times? I know it's pointless but for some reason I just keep doing it!!
• People who have intimate conversations in PUBLIC bathrooms.  Uh...HELLO. there are other people in here. I realllly reallly really don't what to know every exact detail of your date with Johnny last night and what happened afterwards.  Really. I don't.
• Boys getting in a fight at the toaster line in the cafeteria over who was waiting first to toast their bread. (boys) and being stuck in the middle innocently trying to cream cheese my already toasted bagel. Please don't start punching each other over my head. please please please.
• My sequined shirt I wore on Friday. It was just so fun and sparkly so I went around saying "my body is sooo sparkly" while running my hand over the sequins. Cause they moved back and forth ya know.  Basically I went around rubbing myself subconsciously all day. Probably not the best thing to be doing subconsciously in hind site.

Awkward

• Trying to get my roommates to stop snoring without them knowing. I'm a light sleeper and can't fall asleep if people are snoring!! This is my latest technique: Snoring roommate.  I sit up in bed. Lean over my bed and whack roommate with pillow until snores are gone. Lay back in bed real fast and pretend to be asleep. Works like a charm so far.
• Confusing my sayings.  Today I said "No such cigar" and was met with many confused glances.  Then I realized it was either "no such luck" or "close but no cigar." darn it.
• Having a conversation with a cleavage/chest gawkwer  Hellooooo these are my eyes. On my face. I don't go around gawking at your belt buckle. Eyes. Eyes.  Eyesssss
• Boys who open doors for me when I'm still like 30 steps behind them. I'm all for chivalry, but I really don't want you standing around waiting impatiently there for me as now have to run to the door. I actually do know how to open doors too thank you very much. 
• Bathing suit shopping during class.  Should have realized this was a bad idea before the boy sitting next to me started gawking at my screen.  Little too many bikinis...
• Sending people letters with Christmas stamps in March. If you want to stock up on stamps, DON'T do it in December.  I'm going to be using nutcraker stamps foreverrrrr.

• The announcement I'm making tomorrow! Wheeeeee. Hint: Think link parties.
• My giveaway for spring fling is Saturday!! Finally!!
• I'm going to Ohio again for part of this weekend to hang out with friends.  I miss houses during college. They have these great things like couches and kitchens that is not found in my dorm room! They also do not kick boys out at midnight like my dormitory.
• I was interviewed about my blog for the school newspaper!! coooool.
• This comment I received  on my post yesterday: "You're so cute. I don't know if I wanna hug you or punch you." haha. made me laugh.
• I got inducted into a honorary here yesterday! Fun fun. Also, on the handout they gave us, was this cool little text conversation between someone and their mom. Obviously, I had to reenact it with my mom.

• Going over to a professor's house (he had students over for dinner, etc) and watching a movie and it coming to a sex scene. And it was really over-the-top/corny passionate. And there were a lot of us watching it. And we were at my professors house. And it was weird. And it was really quiet.  And then I just burst out laughing.  Yeah. I looked mature.
• The same professor playing this video clip in class.Once again: Awkward. Quiet. Me busting out laughing.  I should really get a handle on that.
• Wearing shoes without socks and them squeaking as you walk, and it sounds like little farts.  fart. fart. fart. fart. there goes farting footed Becca...
• Dripping water down my cleavage during class while drinking from my water bottle. Especially when its cold!!! I just want to reach my hand down and wipe it off, but that would be REALLY awkward so I just do an awkward hug-my-chest thing as the water dries... 
• Trying to open the door into one of the buildings here with what I thought was my ID card to unlock it. Actually, my ID card was in my right hand and my left hand was frantically waving The Comedy of Errors in front of the sensor for two whole minutes while wondering why in the world the door would not open. Classy. 
• My new addiction to the show Sister Wives. Enough Said.
• Once AGAIN having a bathroom cleaner who never gives our suite enough toilet paper! I've been forced to enter the freshman communal bathrooms with my purse and smuggle out wads like this to keep us covered....these freshmen must think I'm really strange.  There goes the toilet paper hoarder again...

Why do you hate us so much bathroom cleaner? WE JUST WANT TOILET PAPER.

• I'm going home again this weekend!!!!! Yay!!!!!!! After classes today and a five hour drive boyfriend and I will be back together for the weekend :) 
• Only 48 more days until this semester is over and it's summahhhh.
• Today I schedule classes for my last semester in college EVER next fall. Whoooo.
• Cheese. It's so good.
• When people use my tutorials and then blog about it. I get so excited!!! Check this one out at Simple Home Life. She used my Paper Fan Banner Tutorial. Looks great!!
• Someone told me I had a cute nose this week. No one has ever told me that before. Well, except boyfriend. But that hardly counts. He thinks every part of me is cute. Even them love handles. And let me tell you: they aint. <3 you boyfriend :)

• The freshmen girls who decided that it would be a good idea to wrestle in the middle of the dorm hallway.  Excuse me as I step over your flailing limbs, but this is a public hallway ya know...
• Giving a presentation in class and instead of saying "When Alan Blumlein grew up" I said "When Alan Blumlein blew up."  Everyone laughed.  Sad thing? He actually did blow up when he died. Plane crash. Sad day. 
• Listening to a book on tape while driving home for the weekend, and it coming to a sex scene. (Don't judge I have to read this book for class!!) I had another passenger in my car.  uhhhhhh. 
• Realizing my bright teal bra straps were showing allllllllll day yesterday. mannn.
• When people pass you in the hall and say hi to you by name, but you don't know theirs.  "Hi Becca!" "Hi.....you great person you!!"

Awesome

• Advancing on to round 2 of the Charlie Sheen internship program.  85,148 people applied for the first round! Probably that many advanced on to the second round too haha I don't know.  I'm still proud.
• Boyfriend calling me his cuddly koala. awwwwwww :)
• At lunch, hearing this guy in the table over get a text and his ring tone was the Kim Possible ring tone.  My friend has the same ring tone and so we had someone text her and her phone made the same noise.  Kim Possible ring tone dude looked over and smiled in true appreciation.
• Studying in my the atrium of the academic building at my school, and someone dropped their pen down from the second level. I totally threw it back up to them and made it. I was real proud.  Especially since everyone was watching me attempt to fling this pen up another story.
• Going home this weekend and going to my neice's birthday party and bouncing in the bouncy house with all the little kiddies.  So fun haha

Awkward

• How bad I am at cutting meat. Once this week, I was trying to cut some pork in the cafeteria and it flew off my plate into the aisle. Multiple people noticed.  Another day I was cutting roast beef and a peice flew off into my lap. Had to walk around with gravy stains for awhile.  Not. Cool.
• Seeing a friend walk by, meaning to pat her arm, but instead patting her boob
• Breaking my chair during my chemistry class. It's so not my fault. The chairs are old and dying. But now everyone probably thinks of me as the elephant girl who is so fat she BROKE HER CHAIR in the middle of class. 
• How many people gave weird looks at my tights/boots combo this Sunday.  Yes, they are high heeled boots. Yes, the tights do have holes in them. No, these are not 5 inch black stilletto shoes and the tights are not fish nets. It is totally appropriate.  Patterned tights are SO IN RIGHT NOW.  Do you not understand this? You have all seen this part of my leg before when I've worn dresses.  Now that I'm putting patterned-with-holes-tights over them I'm suddenly a ho-ho??  hrumph.

•  I'm going HOME for the weekend. And leaving a day early. So today!! Tonight boyfriend and I will snuggle. Which I so need right now.  Business Planning = most stressful class of my life. ahhhhh
• Realizing that I could listen to Pandora on my iphone while at the gym, not just my limited music library.  Set it to a hip hop station: instant pump-me-up playlist that makes running soooo much easier. 
• My little niece is turning two Friday! Party on Sunday. There will be a bouncy house.  I will be bouncing. 
• When boyfriend calls me "darling dear"
• I had my first sale on my etsy shop this week! (If your interested, there is a great deal going on now!)

• The question I got wrong on my most recent chem test.  The question was "how else does alcohol leave the body." See, I paid attention and knew that alcohol exited the body in small amounts as a gas through breathing.  So I wrote "gas." Because of how the question was worded though the correct should had been "breathing." I realized when I got my test back that my teacher now probably thinks I think alcohol exits the body through farting. greattttt 
• Wearing my rain coat to class, and after getting there I tried to untie it and realized I was tied onto my backpack and had to do this whole spin around in circles trying to get free battle with my coat in front of everyone in class.
• Having my computer used in class (we needed to skype with a speaker and I had skype).  My computer screen was projected onto the huge screen in front of the class...and when we had trouble with skype and had to quit the whole class starred at a huge, blown up picture of boyfriend and me that is on my desktop for like five whole minutes while skype restarted. Never seen my face that large before. Sheesh. The scrolling count down app reading  "69 days until I'm home with Shawn for summer!!" was also slightly embarrassing...

Awesome

• Boyfriend finally getting unlimited texting and I now receive multiple cute texts with him telling me he loves me throughout the day
• Doing well on my paper and test that I procrastinated purposefully scheduled to do last minute before break
• My almost 2 year old niece totally knowing my name now.  She offers me pretzels: "Here ya go Becca!" and apologizes " I sorwy Becca." ..."but Miley you didn't do anything!" *looks at me cutely* "I sorwy Becca."  SO CUTE. 
• My first ever GIVEAWAY which ends on Saturday. Go enter. You know you want to. 
• My new hand soap in my bathroom. I now walk around with my hands smelling deliciously like brown-sugar fig all day. And let me tell you. It's a great smell. I'm gonna be real sad when this runs out.

• In church this Sunday when the bible reader said "God is good" and I responded really loud with "all the time" but NO ONE ELSE did and then there was an awkward pause and then he just moved on.  Am I the only one who has been trained with "God is good...all the time...All the time...God is good."  It's called congregation participation folks.
• Making a your mom joke to someone whose mom recently passed away. dangitdangitdangit.
• The window into my harp practice room at school. People stop in the hallway sometimes and stare at me for an excessive about of time and i'm like....I can see you you know....
• The male professor in my one class who always asks us how we are doing each morning.  This is how it went on Monday
• Teacher: How are you doing today Rebecca?
• Me: Bad
• Teacher: Bad? Why's that?
• Me: Because I dropped my bottle of perfume on the floor this morning and it broke and I watched $50 dollars evaporate into thin air...
• Teacher: 50 dollars! what kind of perfume costs 50 dollars??
• Me: Errr..um...from Victoria Secret
• Teacher:  errhh. oh. uh. ok. i didn't mean to pry...
• hahaha. At least he didn't ask the name. "Desire by Victoria Secret." That would have been even more awkward.

• Boyfriend got a job today! Yayyyyyy! 
• I'm home for "spring break" (even though it's still winter?) I get to sleep in my own bed and see boyfriend everyyyyday

Awkward

• Deciding to go to my school's inside pool for exercise, and realizing after getting in the locker room my bathing suit has a big white bleach spot right in the middle of the bum.  Of all places, bleach spot, did you have to pick smack dab in the middle of my bum???
• Sneezing inside snowmobile helmets...ew...
• Being the only one running around my school's indoor track when the whole boys lacrosse team comes up and starts jogging around the track.  Hello boys... don't mind my sweaty/bouncy/less-clothed-self-than-would-be-preferable over here...lap...after...lap...after...lap. 
• Squirting water out of my mouth unintentionally when I yawn.  Does this happen to anyone else???
• The fact that the lady who cleans our bathroom NEVER GIVES US ENOUGH TOILET PAPER so halfway through the week we have to go all undercover and steal toilet paper from places. Seriously... Oh look! They're cleaning south suite bathrooms. Go Becca! Grab an extra roll from the box! Now run!!!!!
• Having run-ins with old ishes.(ISHES defined: one who you had and ISH with. [ISH  defined: not dating, but having a definite...well...ISH with the member of the opposite sex]). Oh...you. Yeah. We both recognize and saw each other but will proceed to walk past without any type of acknowledgement and both pretend we didn't see each other and that the other doesn't exist.... yeah....makes total sense. 
• Walking on the sidewalk today and suddently falling FLAT ON MY FACE onto the sidewalk. Around a bunch of people. And to make matters worse, I got a big hole in my jeans. : ( boo.

• Boyfriend sent me flowers for Valentines day :) Check um out here
• Today it was like freakin 50 degrees out. LOVE IT.
• Camis from Costco. They are just so soft and comfy and the perfect length. 
• Boyfriend has a job interview tomorrow. YAY. 
• In Chem lab this week, we made ice cream. Seriously. It was to show changes of state from liquid to solid or something like that. Whatevs. BEST.LAB.EVER.

Obviously, making ice cream in lab means that it is a VERY DANGEROUS process. Lab goggles must be worn at all times.

Awkward and Awesome Thursday #4

Awkward

• When someone calls me on my iphone while I'm around a bunch of people outside and i'm wearing gloves and don't want to take them off so I answer the phone using my nose but accidentally hit speaker phone (noses are not very accurate) and everyone around hears boyfriend on the other end "Hi darling dear! How's my honey?" *everyone starts looking at me* erhhhh. "....Hi!"
• Putting on shirts from H&M and almost strangling myself with that ribbon they put across to keep it on the hanger
• Trying to contain my giggles while at work as a phone-a-thon member while the caller next to me talks like this: "Hewo, my name is Pauwl and I'm cawing from Growve City Coweege. Is Miswer Smiwth avawable?"
• When I'm running on the treadmill and accidentally let out a toot. But, I have headphones on so I don't know if it made any noise or not, but the people next to me don't have headphones on. So, if it did make a noise I should be really embarrassed. But I don't know if I should or not. IT'S SO AWKWARD NOT KNOWING IF THE SITUATION IS AWKWARD OR NOT! 
• When you're in a big public bathroom with a WHOLE LONG ROW of empty stalls and someone comes and goes in the stall RIGHT NEXT TO YOU. I'm potty shy, ok!! Why did you have to pick the one right next to me??? There are so many others open.
• How bad I am at those twisted text spam verifiers on comments. It takes me like 12 times to get it right. Ok, maybe more like 2. Still more than necessary. 
• Taking other peoples stuff out of a washer/dryer cause there are no other empty machines and theirs is done. I'm always afraid they are going to catch me in the act and go bizerk on me for touching their clothes.  If you really didn't someone to touch your clothes, you should have came to the laundry room and taken them out when they were done!

Awesome

• Sitting at your desk with cold feet thinking "i really wish I had my slippers" and then looking down and finding them RIGHT NEXT TO YOU. So handy. 
• Finding a wool pea coat for boyfriend on sale at Old Navy for $17 so he can stop wearing his cameo coat that I hate when he's around me.
• Getting an A on my history paper. Yippeeeeeeeeeeee
• The fact that I've broken 50 followers. This.is.so.exciting.
• The fact that my good friends know how much I love squirrels and send me pictures of them throughout the week.  Here's a recent selection of the goodies I have gotten:

Awkward

• When I went to the gym this week and thought I saw a good guy friend, so I gave him a suggestive eye brow wag (because obvi that's what you all do to your good friends when you see them). And then he just stared strangely back at me.  And then I realized it was not my friend, and I just suggestively eye brow wagged a complete stranger. Dang it.
• That one annoying girl in every class who always laughs a little louder at the teachers jokes and shouts out the most random suggestions when he asks for participation....and everyone else in the class just cringes at the girl while the teacher tries to not makes funny faces.
• Spilling coffee all over my pants in the cafeteria and looking like I had an accident...
• Having someone point out that one side of your hair is curly and the other straight. Come on hair. We were going for curly today. Get with the program.
• The fact that I still cannot really spell Janurary and Febuary right. See? It's wrong.  Too many Rs in weird places. JANUARY. FEBRUARY. must remember this.
• Dropping food into your cleavage. Then you check that no ones looking and reach in to get it out, only to look up and realize that multiple people are now staring at you. Dang it. 
• Motion sensors on doors. Way too many times on this campus have I gone to open a door and just slammed into it because the motion detector didn't notice me. 
• Having an a friend email me telling me that she google image searched "kisses in the snow" to find a cute pic to send in an email for her boyfriend, and that a picture of me and boyfriend showed up in the results. Hah!

Awesome

• My k-cup coffee maker! I finally bought cream for it and have been smuggling sugar packets from the cafeteria (shhh don't tell) and can now have coffeeeeee every morning. 
• When you style your hair with yummy smelling hairspray and can go around all day smelling it. Mh. So nice. 
• Hearing people go "oooohhhh" or "how cute!!" or " i love these!" when they walk past my dorm room were I have my handmade jewelry and headbands displayed for sale. Makes me feel good :)
• This suggestion of boyfriend over skype: [3:25:37 PM] Shawn Utermohlen: i think that you should do a cover of dont trust a hoe on your harp. because obviously that is the kind of song people would like to hear played on a harp. lol
• The fact that I get to see boyfriend this Sunday!!!! We're meeting for the day in between home and my college :D
• I just bought a Silhoutte! EEEEEEHHHHH!!!
• The "decorate your own cupcake" bar the cafeteria had this weekend

Awkward

--Handicap bathroom stalls that have sinks in them.  You finish using the toilet, and then, oh hey! A sink! Great  I’ll use it. But then you exit the stall and everyone just watches you walk out of the bathroom without stopping  at the other sinks.  Do they know there is a sink in there? Do they know I just used it? I’M NOT BEING  GROSS I PROMISE!!

--        --Making eye contact with people at the gym.  Ohhh heyyy….yeah I was just staring at you using the triceps machine….and you caught me.  Sorry... My run is boring and your grunting was keeping me amused.

·      

--        --Coed bathrooms. I went to use one at a restaurant in France, and there was a guy in the bathroom but he hadn’t locked the door!   So I got all embarrassed and ran all the way back up to the restaurant.  Except… I still had to pee really bad. So then I had to go all the way back…

·        

-    --My ears. I think they are abnormally shaped. No earbuds ever fit in them…

    --When you wear leggings and a loose skirt, and so you can't feel if everything is laying right. Then, you come back from walking across campus and your roomate informs you that your skirt has ridden up by your coat and your bear-legginged-butt is hanging out. Great.

·        

-   --Checking emails during class and opening up one from Victoria Secret or Aerie and having a huge picture of a girl in lingerie pop up onto my screen. Well hello boobs, welcome to my class…say hi to everyone staring at my screen…

           --Pandora.  Adding in variety and liking enough songs so basically everything it plays I love now.  J yay

           --Half-off clearance sales at Old Navy. SO MANY CUTE NEW CHEAP CLOTHES. !!

     --Finding out I’m all set to graduate a semester early from college.  Less than one year left!

Awkward and Awesome Thursday #1

SUPER Excited for my first Awkward and Awesome Thursday (even though its kind of late) post. Check out the adorable originator of the fad in the picture at the bottom

Awkward

• How blue my shampoo is. I really like it; it makes my hair smell really nice, but every time I rub it into my scalp I’m worried that the neon blue color of it is going to dye my hair forever.

• Broccoli salad. It always seems like such a good idea when I’m eating it, but you seriously burp the taste up for the rest of the day. Disgusting.

• Salad-bar-cutters.  Yes, I was scooping sliced carrots onto my salad and you thought you had enough time to line jump me and get to the dressing first, but now I’m done and you’re still pouring and I’m giving you hate eyeballs.

• The fact that my jeans kept squeaking when I crossed and re-crossed my legs during night class this week. I kept worrying someone would think I was farting…

• Suite bathrooms. I’m just a little potty shy at times.

• How every time I write out my major, I’m worried I will spell it wrong.  Wouldn’t that be embarrassing? To not even know how to spell your major.  Entrepreneurship has a lot of vowels in it.  I can spell it, but I get a little nervous every time.

• Man engagement rings. I don’t get them. And I’m not a fan. 

• When you're singing worship songs near someone, and you are both singing harmony, but its different harmony that clashes, but you each think yours is best so you kept singing it and then louder until someone chickens out and switches to melody. Maybe i'm alone in this.

• The thumbs in my pink gloves.  There is like an inch of space above them my thumbs don't fill.  And I don't have exceptionally small thumbs, I promise.

Awesome

• Waking up to cute emails from boyfriend where he says he misses his cuddling koala. Yes you can barf now. i think it's cute. 

•  Seeing squirrels still scampering around campus. I’m so glad they haven’t hibernated for the winter yet. I love their little fluffy bodies.

• The fact that boyfriend told me last night that he is BUILDING me something. But won’t tell me what. But thinks I will like it a lot and it may take awhile. Eehh! J

•   Someone found me on Linkedin this week and gave me a side job offer.  Sweeeet.

• IKEA mattresses. So soft and fluffy. I want mine back I had last semester. 

•  I sold TWO headbands to girls in my dorm this week. Yay! 

• Walking in the middle a snow shower and seeing the freshly fallen snow sparkly on the ground. gorgeous.
